Comments policy
Please note that comments following articles and blog posts on this website may be moderated; first-timers are always so.
I dislike anonymity in Internet forums, but in the case of this site I tolerate anonymous comments as there are occasionally good reasons why people cannot express themselves openly using their real names. The downside is that anonymous comments have less value than those made by individuals willing to stand up and be fully accountable for their public utterances.
Comments are welcome, especially constructive ones, but I do not actively solicit them.
This website is in large part my online presence as a professional journalist and science writer, and I am responsible for maintaining the site in good order. It is not an open public forum. If you wish to comment while remaining anonymous, you must include a valid email address, and ensure that your IP address is fully traceable.
