Following the shock resignation of Kevin Rudd during an official visit to Washington DC, opinion poll-battling Australian premier Julia Gillard holds a press conference to announce Rudd’s replacement as foreign minister.
Said Barry-born Gillard (50), “We value Kevin’s enormous contribution to public life, but fully understand and support his decision to spend more time with his family. Kevin will be a hard act to follow, but we are confident that the blancmange will do the country proud. Long live Australia!”

“enormous contribution to public life”
He he. Only a pol could keen so extravagantly.
Wait, Kevin Rudd – wasn’t he the one caught on video mining his nose and consuming the proceeds?

I’m not sure that Rudd is notable or infamous for anything in particular.

The Curse of Morfa Rhuddlan travels to the outer edge of the Earthly disc. Rudd is famous for acting like a twat in front of Obama and Lula, and getting luckily ignored. enjoy:

It’s to Australia’s credit that a gamma male can achieve so much in life.
As for eating ear wax, snot and so forth, this is a perfectly healthy and natural tool for self-diagnosis, and should not be sniffed at (unlike scratching one’s rectum and investigating the result, where the sniffing is integral). Such instinctive behaviour probably confers some kind of evolutionary advantage.
