I have had the feeling that all well-meaning attempts to be sustainable seemed not really to work even where a fair bit of technical understanding is deployed.  It seems that the reasons are economical rather than technical.  I stumbled about a shortish animated film &quot;Money as debt&quot; (all of it is on youtube as is its slightly more detailed successor film) which points to at least one economic factor of why the minute the economy stops growing life becomes suddenly very uncomfortable.</description>
