Gordon prefers the dark

“Oh fook!”

Will the last cabinet member out of the room please switch off the lights.

Last month I suggested somewhat flippantly that we could abolish the office of “Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury”, and thereby save ourselves a lot of grief.

Well, it looks as though I’ve got it wrong yet again. With two cabinet resignations in as many days, the government appears to be abolishing itself in the lead-up to the European Parliament and local elections.

Yes, you read that right; there is a European Parliament election taking place tomorrow, and it’s actually quite important. For Europe.

So get ye up off your lardy arses and vote, focusing wherever possible on individual candidates rather than here today, gone tomorrow political parties and their toilet paper manifestos.

Talking of Britain in Europe, nice boots, Mr Cameron.

In the valley of the blind, the man with one eye is king. Thus Brown is intent on blinding everyone in both eyes.

He does seem intent on destroying the Labour Party, and I’m surprised that so few of those who profess loyalty to the institution are complaining. Instead it’s all about ambition, ego and vanity.

I would compare the current wave of resignations to Seneca fleeing Nero but I realized, Nero at least saved Romans from the Great Fire…. he didn’t really set it or fiddle whilst it burned.
