Was it right to leak BNP membership list?

Wednesday 19 November 2008 at 13:32 UTC

British fascist leader Nick Griffin

A list of British National Party members and associates has been published online. The document, which contains contact details and professional affiliations of thousands of individuals associated with the neo-fascist organisation, includes the names of a number of police officers, teachers and members of Her Majesty’s armed forces. Serving police officers are banned from membership of the racist group.

BNP leader Nick Griffin described the leak as “a disgraceful act of treachery” by a former member. He also announced that a complaint had been lodged with Dyfed-Powys Police on the grounds that publication of the list breaches human rights legislation (which the BNP opposes) and data protection laws.

I’m not really a “joiner”, but I like look of the bloke behind Nick Griffin’s left shoulder - I’d vote for him and evrything he stood for.

  2. Francis Sedgemore

That’s Nick Griffin’s secret lover, that is. I mean, the BNP leader wasn’t going to let Jörg Haider get the better of him, was he now?

Enough of the emails replete with spelling mistakes and grammatical howlers telling me that I cannot spell “waist”! My use of “waste” wasn’t even a Freudian slip, you stupid feckers. Maybe I shall start publishing email addresses if this carries on.

    BNP membership list leak
The autonomous Trade Union Solidarity is concerned by the hysteria stoked up by sections of the media over the leak of a BNP membership list.

Reports that such members were “living in fear” and that they “faced the sack from their jobs” amount to victimisation.

General Secretary of Solidarity Patrick Harrington said:-

[remainder of neo-Nazi trade union propaganda deleted - Ed.]

“Solidarity” is a phoney trade union run by known British neo-Nazis/Strasserites. Patrick Harrington has a long history in the white supremacist movement in the UK, and he is considered persona non grata within the trade union movement.

  6. No Good Boyo

I read through the list and was annoyed to see how many members there are in Wales, especially the Welshpool-Wrexham Offa’s Corridor. Some are typical white-flighters, I’m sure, but the number of Welsh surnames among them is depressing. If they wan’t to be ultra-nationalists/ fascists, they should form a proper Welsh Nazi party, not dick around with these BNP types. Then they could all have a nice big fight, followed by a showers together.

A Welsh Nazi Party? With the Eisteddfodau Cenedlaethol whipping its followers into a frenzy, no doubt.
