It's just that the institution is for some reason not that keen on the association, and would rather be, like Loughborough, situated on a different plane of existence. I've never been to Stoke, but have a few friends from the town. They don't live there any more, and apparently this is significant. The chippy names are great. If you are really bothered or really don't know. They used to have some excellent Fish and Chip shop names in Stoke in the late 80s.
