Boyo exposed

Friday 3 October 2008 at 11:34 UTC

I hereby refer you to the Normblog profile of one of my very favourite bloggers, Martin Morgan, the Welsh who writes irregularly but entertainingly and at epic length as “No Good Boyo”. Our Martin is a journalist and Mahler aficionado (this is just about forgivable) who hails from the nondescript north Walian market town of Dolgellau, which today is known mostly as a watering hole for hikers over from the English midlands to ascend the 2,000-cubit summit of Cader Idris. Still, it could be worse; at least the Boyo is not a native of Blaenau Ffycing Ffestiniog.

Cheers mun. Dolgellau will be considerably more descript when I’m President of the Wales, given my plans for Llanfachreth International Airport and a large revolving statue of myself made of Clogau Gold. And in addition to Blaenau Ffycing Ffestiniog, I’m also not from Blydi Bala either.

    Neu “Rhydi Rhuthun”?

BTW, Boyo, if you want to be President of the Wales, you’ll first have to do mortal combat with Jan Morris.

I can take that Morris anyday. It’s her son with his coracle I’m scared of. He’s already got the hat and heir:

Reit bewildered-looking geneth there. But yes, Twm Morys is the scary poet of Gogledd Cymru.
