“UW scientists join hunt for ‘God’ particle to complete ‘theory of everything’”

Maybe you are into this kind of thing, but press release and article titles such as this elicit a big yawn in me. The content of the release concerns the University of Washington’s involvement in the new ATLAS detector at the CERN particle physics lab near Geneva. That in itself is interesting, and most definitely worth reporting. But we can do without this “theory of everything” bollocks.
